May 14th 1969, the Canadian Parliament passed Bill C-150, amending the Criminal Code to decriminalize birth control and legalize abortion for therapeutic reasons. Two decades later, in 1988, abortion was completely legalized. Worldwide abortion is allowed in 98% of countries in order to save a woman's life but performing abortion only on the basis of a woman's request is allowed in 34%., including Canada.#CanadaIsAwesome #WomensRights

We often hear: “If Islam is enough, we don’t need feminism.” And we ask: then why are so many women still left behind; abused, unheard, erased in Islam’s name?
If Islam is truly rahmatan lil-‘alamin—a mercy to all worlds—then its justice cannot be confined to the righteous, the religious, the modest, the married, or the Muslim. It must be a source of liberation for all women; the single mother, the sex worker, the queer woman, the survivor, the non-Muslim, the neurodivergent girl who flinches at loud imams.
We are not here to compete over whether Islam or feminism has the better branding.
We are here to say:
if the roots are in tawhīd, if the trunk is justice, if the shade reaches all who are oppressed—then let it be called Islam, and may it look like feminism, taste like liberation, and walk like truth.The point is not the name. The point is the mercy. The point is the freedom of every woman—regardless of belief, past, body, or banner.
We do not ask Islam to conform to feminism. We ask Muslims to embody the Islam that liberates.

Horseshoe theory is bullshit. Liberalism is a disease. Liberal is, in fact, an insult used by fascists and leftists alike, for different reasons. Liberals and fascists are both morally corrupt and spiritually bankrupt. But these are just descriptors.
Fascists insult liberals for weakness, diversity, proceduralism, or insufficient ethnonational purity.
Leftists insult liberals for collaboration with domination while pretending neutrality.
Same word, different indictment. The key distinction is function.
A liberal government may speak of human rights while backing massacres. A fascist movement may discard the human-rights language and embrace domination more openly.
Different rhetoric, sometimes overlapping material outcomes.
I won't speak about theory in a vacuum, but let's talk about historical and material conditions and the imperial boomerang across settler-colonial states, imperial powers, and postcolonial formations shaped by empire. Let's start there.
