I was a little kid in the #80s who just had a living room with a stereo when I discovered Rock n' Roll. The console was a huge 9' x 3' tube-powered 300 watt torpedo. It made #heavymusic sound even more dramatic and absolutely formed my lifelong preference for big distorted guitars & bass, with big drums.
My first "favorite" guitar solo I found as a 9-year-old, is basically still one of my all-time jams. "Magic Man" by Heart, Howard Leese on lead #guitar

@commandelicious for me its their softness. I dont mean physically, but they are often more gentle than man. They often are more concerned with your emotional well being and do their best to enrich it.
Obviously generalizations dont work completely, there are always exceptions. But I find this to be often the case at least.
Most of my friends in america are women becuase America is so toxic that I really need as much "softness" in my life there as I can find.
Sadly now that I'm in the #netherlands I have far fewer female friends. But that is because I mostly made friends through friends of friends. In time I'm sure the numbers will balance out.
