  1. So, this guy Karlheinz Samenjo at Delft university invented this doodad to make anesthesia for gynecologic procedures vastly cheaper and easier. It would help so many women, especially in countries where medical funding is limited. But they need money to get their product approved by the relevant authorities (the FDA etc) and get it in production. If you have some money to spare, this would be a great fundraiser to donate to I think.

  2. Hot flashes. Fatigue. Mood swings. Pain.

Women push through all of it — while holding jobs, families, and entire systems together.

    It’s time society caught up.

Menopause is not a weakness. It’s strength in transformation.

  6. Why do we still treat menopause as a private issue instead of a workplace one?

Women over 45 make up a growing share of the workforce — yet policies rarely reflect that reality.

This petition calls for recognition, respect, and practical support for women in transition.

  10. If you're truly pro-life you'd support the moms and children after birth. But as a society, lately we seem to decide that governmental help ends upon birth.

And since no woman has a baby without a supplier of sperm, how about if every time a woman has an elective abortion, the supplier of sperm has to have a vasectomy? No more unwanted babies in that relationship…at least for the SoS. Would definitely address the problem, and teach suppliers of sperm about bodily autonomy.

  11. @abcfeeds In regional areas 2 lies are reflected by the members who represent them:

    1 woman’s health is important
    2 drugs don’t exist nimby.

You go 2 any regional town across Australia and ask about either of these things and you will hear horror stories.

You will never hear the people who are meant to represent them talk about this but hey ….how about a new footy oval. #auspol #womanshealth #drugs

  12. The part that Karen didn’t mention is that there are many woman and men out there who don’t play games on having their rights and #womanshealth being used as a political game, it doesn’t matter how they word it. All parties who are dabbling their toes in this water get them bitten off. It is also a subject that transcends age. #banreligion #qldpol #ausvotes #theguardian #KarenMiddelton

  13. Miscarriages are incredibly common. Abortion bans have made them less safe.

Since care for abortion and pregnancy loss is the same, restrictions on one have had disastrous impacts on the other.

  14. New Book: Abortion: Our Bodies, Their Lies, and the Truths We Use to Win

“n her most urgent book yet, New York Times bestselling author Jessica Valenti shines a light on the conservative assault on women’s freedom, cutting through the misinformation and overwhelm to inform, engage, and enrage. “In Ohio, the Republican-controlled #Ohio Senate is using its official government website to push what Associate Press legal and medical experts say is “false or misleading” information against the proposed constitutional amendment the state’s voters will consider in the November 7 election”
