On September 5th they'll begin their 12 game regular season (that has only 4 road games) against Western Michigan. #CollegeFootball

  4. This was a fantastic hour-long feature on Wolverines in Northwestern Alberta (plus lots of ravens and wolves).

Turns out the wolverine isn’t as lonesome as we previously thought; the father-son duo are particularly cute.

    And a great doomscroll combo-breaker.

Just read something horrible that I cant shake.
Not going to share it as I am not confident it's true...

All I will say is that Congressional Democrats HAVE to find a way to get into the immigration holding camps being run by the DHS and check on the people being held there.

  7. The #cheezitbowl flavors are reppin' the #Wolverines as well (sort of). Which one best looks the part to best rep the "maize" of #Michigan? Take the poll in the comments!

Dear Premier Smith and Minister Loewen,

I understand that trapping limits have been removed for #wolverines, lynx, fishers, and river otters.

In the past, unregulated trapping decimated the populations of furbearing #animals in #Alberta.

I am particularly concerned about wolverines, which are listed by the Committee on the Status of Endangered #Wildlife in #Canada as a species of special concern at the national level:

  10. Wolverines Continue Their Comeback — This Time in Colorado
    therevelator.org/wolverines-co

"A new law will allow the state’s #wildlife agency to reintroduce the endangered species. #Colorado Parks and Wildlife is expected to create new rules for a #wolverine reintroduction program... Colorado has been attempting to reintroduce #wolverines for nearly 15 years. The state first floated a potential program in 2010, but officials opted to reintroduce #lynx first. Colorado is now home to as many as 250 lynx"

  11. Very cool!

    ------
CO could support 100 to 180 wolverines eventually, wildlife researchers said, with the state’s high, snowy terrain likely to do better against climate change for wolverine habitat than lower, rainier northwestern states.

CPW director Davis: “CO is the right state to take on this work. The wolverine requires a high-elevation habitat with persistent, deep snowpack, and CO has the some of the best remaining habitat."
