We watched the premiere of the new opera “Grounded” last night at the Kennedy Center, put on by the Washington National opera. It was a very good performance and a great theatrical experience.
The set was amazingly well done, very high tech but not distracting — instead the tech helped tell the story. The performers were strong. /1

Tonight I went to see the Welsh National Opera’s production of La Traviata at the Bristol Hippodrome. It was excellent as always from the WNO.

That’s my yearly trip to the Bristol Hippodrome to see the Welsh National Opera booked. This year it’s Mozart’s The Magic Flute. 🎼🎶🎵🎻
