@pinkyfloyd yep! I’d like to see our #WNFS encrypted file system have a plugin for those systems.

So, be able to store your files on Nextcloud but then use them like an iCloud plugin for others to build apps on.

@billseitz @jessmartin yep. @fission has our protocol components of #UCAN, #WNFS, and #IPVM which actually are all designed as protocols that make for interoperable worlds — so I disagree with your Y axis ;)

A #UCAN is a cryptographically signed bearer token that carries capabilities with it. The receiving application has to understand the capabilities.

Our #WNFS encrypted file system, for example, has capabilities around CRUD of files and file paths as a simple base case -- either encrypted or public.

#UCAN is based on #DID and cryptography, we use it for our encrypted user-centric file system #WNFS, which syncs via #IPFS

How to broadcast public keys? Works roughly like `.well-known`.

Fission hands out unique usernames along with a unique subdomain -- e.g. `boris-dot-fission-dot-name`. #WNFS

Key exchange for private file sharing. Using RSA-2048 because it needs to be available everywhere, so looked at what WebCrypto API supports #WNFS

This went pretty deep very quickly! Yes, #WNFS is a CHAMP: Compressed Hash-Array Mapped Prefix-tree
