  1. Good turnout at the Madison #NoKings protest - definitely the biggest I’ve been to since the height of #WIUnion.

Will be curious what final estimates are but easily into the tens of thousand I think.

  2. Current events mean I don't take photos at protests these days but here's a sampling of some vintage #WIUnion shots.

If you're on the streets for #NoKings day, stay safe out there.

  3. Many smiles, waves, and friendly honks (including a couple of Democrabeeps, showing some #WIUnion veterans are still out there).

    You are not alone.

  4. Thirteen years ago, during the #WIUnion protests, I took this photo.

Context: Governor Walker's administration tried to bar protestors from the state capitol. Judge Albert's decision on March 3rd had ordered the Wisconsin Department of Administration to "open the state Capitol to all members of the public and rescind the access policies put in place (Monday) and replace them with the access policies in effect on Jan. 28, 2011."

    That's not what happened.

  5. Voters file a lawsuit in the Wisconsin Supreme Court arguing the state's House and Senate maps are extreme partisan gerrymanders that unfairly favor Republicans in violation of the state constitution.

  15. Wisconsin was the laboratory. Republican governors in other states all wanted to be the next Scott Walker. There's a direct line from the Wisconsin GOP to Trump's 2016 win.

But Wisconsin progressives never stopped fighting. Even when it seemed impossible. #wiunion
