At #Arctic15 I was pull off the corridor to do a chat with #WithSecure CEO #AnttiKoskela. It was spontaneous and brief but one of the topics we touched upon was #AI.

We both agree that the battle against AI won’t be like The Terminator. Us versus them. It will be them versus them.

The context was security, but I think that applies to everything. We will be bystanders picking and choosing our wars, whether for king and country, or for a spam free mailbox, but the battles will be beyond us.

So today I learned that #WithSecure EPP's standard Linux Profile doesn't add / as a path to add. Or rather, it doesn't add any path at all by default. You have to specifically add any path that you want it to scan.
Contrary to any other profile for Windows and Mac which scans any path by default.
And the Portal for the software says that Malware Protection is malfunctioning if you don't add a path.
