Ar of the Younger Futhark, rune of plenty and abundanceOverall, this suggests the potential for good fortune is considerable in the moment though it may not be clear or obvious how that is the case. The Younger Futhark generally tends towards a more grim and wary outlook with the notable exception of Ar, which is the rune of the greater conditions that make abundance for all. This reinforces the Nine of Disks as a reading suggesting good fortune for those who, like the birch represented by Bjarkan, persevere through the bitter winter facing you and arrive at the warmth and potential of a new spring.

When I was a wee girl, sometimes when I couldn't sleep, I would lie on my bed with my head on the windowsill looking at the moon. I would breathe in the sweet dark summer air and fill my eyes with the moon's light. It always seemed so big and magical to me. I didn't know then what I do now about the moon's power, but then again, perhaps I did. I was pulled toward her for a reason, I think. I would call on her sometimes for comfort and she was always there for me. 🌝

I while back I read "Historiola: The Power of Narrative Charms" by Carl Nordblom.
The book takes you through a brief introduction of how narrative charms were used throughout history to cure ailments, for protection, and to solve other issues. Narrative charms take the form of short stories or poems, describing the actions of gods, saints, or other holy figures and how they performed magic or a miracle. They are often categorized thematically or by protagonists.

Letting go means reparenting yourself as needed so that the lessons from a hard experience are what stick and grow stronger in your character, at the same time as the most acute pain of it fades with each day.

Healing is messy and some wounds never fully heal. But even on those you learn how and when to apply a little pressure on the tender spot if needed, when to avoid them entirely, and when to grin and bear it at full strength despite the hurt because in the end it will heal more.

It really is miraculous what is possible if you just give it a go. Nature wants to provide, we are just used to believing that the world is less hospitable than it is by nature. There is so much bounty everywhere, but we have grown up believing that we must fight for every scrap. But the truth is that almost everything we need comes right up out of the ground most places it hasn't been shaved down to make room for basically barren grass. And where it doesn't come right out, we can, with a little human ingenuity, make it come up there.
