Hi, #psychology mastodon! Can you explain me the difference between "clinical significance" and "statistic significance"? I'm learning to interpret #WISC-III and am confused with this aspect.

@cvalvarez The #VCI subtest on the #WISC requires the tester to score 0, 1, or 2 points for each answer given. For example, the Similarities subtest could hypothetically ask "How are green and blue the same?" The protocol manual lists a non-exhaustive list of possible answers. Say a kid answers, "They're dogs", that would get a 0. "They're both colors" would get a 1, whereas "They're both warm colors" would get a 2. The more abstract the 2 test terms, the more subjective the scoring can become.
