  1. Here's a fun little build: turning a battery pack with solar charger into a #Meshtastic node. The feeble solar cell couldn't really charge the 4000mAh battery. I'll see how it works wirh #RAK #WisBlock #19003 Even without solar charging, I expect the module to run for over a week on fully charged battery.

  4. Help me out, LazyWeb! I'm looking for #RAK #WisBlock #WisConnector adapters, or breakout boards. My rotary encoder came with the 40 pin WisIO connector, but my smol #19003 base board takes only 24pin WisSensor connectors. Playing around with #Meshtastic Boosts appreciated.

  6. Rapidly moving my meshtastic nodes over to meshcore 🤘🏿

Going very smoothly so far. Meshcore is notably very fast at message delivery and delivery confirmations back to the sender.

Thinking I'll leave my primary meshtastic infrastructure nodes up and build meshcore nodes to deploy next to them so as the network matures I can do head to head comparisons.

  7. Can a using the () wake up automatically when, following the battery system powering it having gone flat due to lack of sun, the battery is eventually recharged when the sun shines again? There has been discussion about a wake up / restart needing a manual intervention like pressing a reset button or unplugging and re-plugging the (solar re-charged) battery. This issue is really important in case the node is placed somewhere inaccessible. continued.... 1/10

  8. using Android app. What does the blue light mean when it flashes on sometimes? Cheers.

  9. battery polarity wrong way round. What is best work-around if I want to keep plugging in batteries that I charge using the right polarity?
    1) Cut the cables & swap the poles of my batteries & then adapt chargers' polarity round? Is that a fire risk if someone then puts in a normal polarity battery?
    2) Soldering out socket & turning it round?
    3) An adapter to be had?
    4) Adapt the socket?
    5) Adapt the battery plug?

Das ist so korrekt. Die beiden
    #T-Beam Gateways laufen 24/7 ausschließlich als #Gateway.
    Ich nutze nur den
#RAK5005 / #WisBlock. Wenn das Gehäuse angekommen ist auch wieder mobil 😉

  18. Here's how we set up our own #LoRaWAN Network with RAKwireless RAK7248 #WisGate Developer D4H Gateway... And test it with RAKwireless #WisBlock in #Arduino

  19. Let's copy the Join #LoRaWAN Network Request generated by #BL602 ... And retransmit with #WisBlock ... Surprise: the Join Request succeeds! 😲 Which proves the Nonce and Message Integrity Code are OK ... Probably the BL602 Power Amplifier setting is wrong 🤔

    github.com/lupyuen/bl_iot_sdk/

  20. #BL602 vs #WisBlock: Join #LoRaWAN Network Request ... Let's check the Nonce and Message Integrity Code ... Wonder if we can retransmit the BL602 packet from WisBlock 🤔

    github.com/lupyuen/bl_iot_sdk/

  21. #LoRaWAN Packet: #BL602 vs #WisBlock ... Seems BL602 is transmitting at Lower Power than WisBlock ... Let's check the Power Amplifier settings 🤔

  22. Here are the #LoRaWAN Packets transmitted by RAKwireless #WisBlock ... Captured by Airspy SDR and CubicSDR

    youtu.be/xdyi6XCo8Z8

  23. #LoRaWAN "Join Network" Packet transmitted by #WisBlock ... Looks similar to the one transmitted by BL602 ... Nonce and Message Integrity Code will differ of course

    github.com/lupyuen/wisblock-lo

  24. After transmitting a packet, a #LoRaWAN Device (#WisBlock) will open a short "Receive Window" ... To receive a Response Packet (if any) from the LoRaWAN Gateway (#WisGate)

    github.com/lupyuen/wisblock-lo

  25. #ChirpStack on RAKwireless #WisGate can generate random Application Keys for #LoRaWAN Over-The-Air Activation (OTAA) ... We shall use keys to activate our #BL602 and #WisBlock devices wirelessly
