I can definitely see some fun ways to implement these #wirelessLEDs, especially if the range can be increased a bit. 10cm would be a bit too short distance from the stem of a tree (and I'm not sure if the base coil needs such a large diameter) though, so you'd need them in the branches too I guess.

But I could also imagine it'd be a nice solution for these kinds of Christmas village things.
One base coil in the middle, and feed the lights off the wireless energy. Place those LEDs anywhere in the buildings you want, without having to run wires or changing batteries. Maybe it can also be used to power small motors?
