A magnificient morning in the woods with a good friend out on a treasure hunt - even though it was bitingly cold, and we got lost multiple times and ended up being the last people to finish the race, it was all good fun and so worth it to bask in this wonderful winter sunshine ☀️

Craigmillar Castle has a lot of history associated with it. Mary, Queen of Scots stayed here in 1563 & 1566… allegedly the plot to remove her unpopular husband Lord Darnley was conceived here, though she wasn’t involved.
And they say life was simpler in older times?! Maybe not!
