NWS Caribou has issued a winter storm warning currently effective 10 pm Saturday night through 10 pm Sunday night for all of far northern Maine. Heavy snow expected. Total snow accumulations between 6 and 10 inches. Winds gusting as high as 30 mph from the southeast late tonight into early Sunday. Patchy blowing and drifting snow in open areas.

During the weekend there had been a #WinterStormWarning for elevations above 2,500 feet where 4-12+ inches (10-30+cm) of #snow fell. This picture was taken looking south into the western section of the National Park. The highest elevations in the park rise above 6,600 feet (2,011m).
