We officially had a #Blizzard during #ArcticBlast #BombCyclone #Elliot #WinterStormElliot
Now comes a very quick thaw and floods off the mountain right past my side door to the Ohio River.
Making matters worse, after the last few years we've had, the ground is not prepared for flash #snowmelt #flooding.

It was -2 degrees Fahrenheit here this morning. I can't ever recall it being that cold here.
The heat pump decided to run on auxiliary heat for part of the night, so I'm dreading the electric bill when it arrives. Despite all precautions, several pipes froze.
Feeling fortunate to have heat though, and a roof over our heads. #Gratitude #IceStorm #WinterStormElliot

The wind chill outside right now during this winter storm is only -41F (-40C), and the news is calling it “a storm of once in a generation”. But that’s coincidence.
