Just a cute round snowman with snowflakes in its eyes. I didn't feel like drawing simple snowflakes, so I opted for a cute snowman instead.

#WinterSoCosy2025 Day 29: Bird
Do you recognise the penguin? If you do, good for you! I initially illustrated Duckie, but I figured it would be a bit weird to have a regular duck in this setting. It would be more fitting to have a penguin instead. And that got me thinking... What would Duckie look like as a penguin? Frankly, Duckie would be SO adorable!

#WinterSoCosy2025 Day 28: Mittens
HEMA sold outfits for Siepie & Takkie plushies. They had one for Sinterklaas, Christmas, and 2 for winter. One in red/white and one in blue/brown. We got both for Christmas! And we dressed up our (somewhat oversized) Siepie in the red/white set. While Siepie does not have hands, and therefore can't really wear mittens, I liked the idea too much to let it go. So there you have it, Siepie with mittens and socks!

It's a simple snowman wearing a red beanie and red scarf during the night time. I didn't want to draw yet another plain starry sky, so I added a faint Aurora Borealis in there as well.

It's Chonky Fox again! This time he is wearing this year's colourful Takkie Christmas jumper from HEMA. I have one of those as well, and I love it! But the ugly part is debatable if you ask me.

Because of the reno, we were late putting up our tree. It’s relatively small. Because we were late, and because they are quite expensive, there is less space for ornaments. But some of them NEED to be on the tree. Like my 3D printed Freezer Bunny!

#WinterSoCosy2025 Day 11: Snug
About 15 yrs ago my friend Mogway bought me a Snug Rug. I still have it today, and still use it. I've since purchased other variants. In recent years these kinds of oversized fleece hoodie blankets have skyrocketed in popularity. Inspired by all of these, I decided to illustrate a Christmas themed version. Rather than sitting on the sofa in one, this gal is walking around outside in it, looking rather comfy.

#WinterSoCosy2025 Day 10: Candy
I already illustrated candy earlier this month. Remember the chocolate froggy? But that was Sinterklaas candy. And now it's time for Christmas candy! I immediately thought of candy canes. I was going to illustrate ten candy canes forming a star. But I think just two of them forming a heart is even better. Sometimes less is more.

#WinterSoCosy2025 Day 9: Gnome
The initial drawing I did was more like an elf than a gnome. But I personally feel they share some features, so it would have been okay either way. I decided to change the outfit from green to blue. As the green combined with red really gave elf vibes. Whereas the blue with red is a good colour combination for classic gnomes. This is a gnome girl. Out and about in nature.

I have to say, while I do like the drawing in itself, it really doesn't fit this month's cosy aesthetic. But it's okay. I don't have a lot of time to spend on drawings every day. So I will take this one as it is. I might revisit it later and fix it up. I think it does have potential. I even created a custom fish skeleton pattern/brush for the background.

We celebrated Pakjesavond, the night Saint Nicholas aka Sinterklaas/Sint Nicolaas brings children (and often their parents) a few gifts. The gifts often arrive in a jute sack. It seemed like an interesting challenge to draw one, as I’d never done that before.

#WinterSoCosy2025 Day 3: Treats
We’re in the middle of a reno. So my life is ✨chaos✨ atm. So I started late on today’s drawing. I’m happy with the result!
This is a chocolate covered sugar froggy. I sometimes used to have these as a kid in the month leading up to #Pakjesavond (#Sinterklaas). The inside is pure sugar. It’s definitely not healthy. But it is nostalgic.
And yes, the reference froggy has been devoured by yours truly. 😂

#WinterSoCosy2025 Day 1: Shoe/Stocking
I decided to go for "shoe" (or slipper, you know). We celebrate Sinterklaas, and so it's common to place a shoe near the fireplace or central heating. Usually filled with a carrot or sugar cube for Ozosnel, his horse! Now let's hope we'll get something nice or yummy in return! 😃
