See the world through frosty eyes,
Beauty is found in the crystalline,
Obscured though its icy touch,
How much cold is too much?
And at this dark time of the year,
The light feels far, it’s not near,
And so I watch though frosty eyes,
Until the winter says goodbye. -

Frost fingers fumble
Gently at the edges
Creeping, freezing
Frost pictures tumble
Sparkling sensation
Snow stars emblazoned
Etched so elegantly
In a wooden frame
Warm fingers trace
The frosted edged pane
And snowflakes dance
To the song of their name
