Trying something new, doing a stitch I've never worked with before. At this rate, with the free time I currently have and the speed I am able to do this stitch, I might finish this hat by winter 2025 😁

I'm not very good at crochet because I do it once every few years.. but it's also one of those skills I don't want to completely lose either. Anyways, my kid has been asking for a hat for a while now and today I was finally in the mood to crochet, so I made this. Is it perfect?
