I had a feeling the other day that I had edited some pics to post then didn't have time/oomph, but couldn't remember what they were, nor where! Just thought about this #cactus that flowered and when I looked for the pics-- all ready to go including alt! We've had many days of at least part cloud + #snow though generally light it was just really frequent! We've also had a protracted #cold spell- not as cold as many places, we haven't been below around -35C/-31F a couple of times, so not extreme for us, but odder that it hasn't warmed up for a couple of weeks- we expect more ups and downs..lol (coming later this week above freezing!) Now- a couple of clear days - this was yesterday morning

I was harvesting firewood in the bush last week, an area I hadn't spent too much time yet this year, so this Red #Squirrel Tamiasciurus hudsonicus was not at all sure what I was doing there-- it held still for a while, hoping I didn't see it and would go away...
It is on a decent sized Picea glauca/ White #Spruce in #winter afternoon #sunlight #WinterBright #BorealForest #Alberta #Canada #wildlife #SolaceInNature #GoOutsideForMe -

#ArtAdventCalendar Day 23 +24 more of our #festive #decorations call them #Christmas or #Solstice either way we keep them up for many weeks- especially the #lights - to brighten the dark months. We have a birthday in the second week of December another mid January, so our season extends at least that far, usually a couple more weeks each side!

#ArtAdvent Day 22 #seasonal #decorations (some will say #Christmas I say #Solstice 😆) This colourful chaos is the nexus of a couple of tinsel garlands and a string of multicoloured lights with a shiny paper backdrop.
For these I'm using dark vignetting instead of white -makes the lights look better and recalls the long dark #winter nights of #coziness and #introspection 📷❄️ #WinterBright -
