Final 2 #anime series I was watching from the #winter2023anime season are complete.
The Magical Revolution of the Reincarnated Princess and the Genius Young Lady - 3.5/5 - First half of this show is amazing, but it kind of begins to fall flat and the last few episodes kind of ruined a lot for me.
The Angel Next Door Spoils Me Rotten - 4/5 - Absolutely sugary sweet romance. My only issue that kept it from being 4.5 was Amane is an absolute idiot at reading Mahiru when it counts.

The Ice Guy and His Cool Female Colleague - 4.5/5 - Fantastic adult rom-com that was super adorable.
ONIMAI: I'm Now Your Sister! - 4.5/5 - Fanservice aside, this show was super funny, emotional, and sweet.

There are soooooo many #winter2023anime shows that I’m now dropping shows for having the slightest amount of hesitation, the merest hint of a “meh”, at the prospect of watching the next episode. Latest to go: #KainaOfTheGreatSnowSea
It’s not a bad show by any stretch of the imagination, and in a weaker season it would probably be fairly high on my priority list but right now…

GAH episode 3 was so good for #TheAngelNextDoorSpoilsMeRotten !!

I'm ready to preview the #winter2023anime season with @station next weekend.
I've watched 1 to 2 episodes of about 20 shows... and should have episode 3 done on a handful of others...
This is going to be a long podcast recording... Lord knows how many he's watched :ScarfLul:

Finally catching up on some episode 2s from the #winter2023anime season. Got to make sure I'm ready to discuss these shows at the end of the month for the podcast.
I needed the break tho, cuz running through 20+ episode 1s burnt me out. lol

i really like the Vinland Saga Season 2 OP. Both the song and the visuals. 3 out of 3 great OPs for Vinland Saga so far.
And it's less than 2 days until the full version releases :spyfam_anya_delighted:

The thing is: I already have too many #winter2023anime shows to watch. At this point I’m more or less looking for excuses to drop a show.

#Winter2023Anime First Impressions
Last one.
The Fire Hunter:
The show throws you in the deep end without much explanation. Fire hunters, muku paper, collection trucks. How is Touko related to these people, why can’t she work, why is she so disliked, why was there a fire hunter so far from the capital, what’s in the letter? That said, I am curious and I feel there will be a lot of show don’t tell here. It has an “ugly” aesthetic but that works with the harsh world they inhabit. I’m in for now. -
I read a lot of chapters of Kubo-san wa Mob wo Yurusanai some time ago, but I haven't been keeping up with it recently. I did really enjoy it, therefore I'm also watching the anime this season.
I had actually completely forgotten about the expressions Kubo makes until today.

My long-awaited sequel is here, Vinland Saga Season 2, and it came with an image for the #AnimangaPictureChallenge as well!

As of right now, Kubo is the last new show I'll be checking out. I'll now be deciding which ones I'll give a second episode 2 and watch weekly.
For further thoughts on series, I will post the Otaku in Review episode where we discuss the new shows after we record it and it goes live.
This will probably early February to allow us to watch 2 or 3 of some shows.

Kubo Won't Let Me Be Invisible (Episode 1):
Why does Kubo's blush happen in horizontal lines? They look like scratches on her face. o_O
Oh lord, other girls suffer from the same scratch marks. It's really bugging me and I can't unsee it lol.
Overall though, it's cute, but with Nagatoro season 2 out, I'll skip this and binge later.

Campfire Cooking in Another World with My Absurd Skill (Episode 1):
The light novel series is a favorite, even if it does get repetitive. This first episode looks great, seems like they'll be doing a fun adaptation.
They made the food look good like it should. The way they end the first episode made me LOL. They nailed the humor from the books too.
