@stu I’ve used APRSLink to check into the VA EmComm #winlinkwednesday net a couple of times. RF is using an HT to access the Digi/iGate so the internet used to forward that isn’t any different than the internet at a Packet/Vara gateway.

@VE7WYC I have checked into the VA EmComm #WinlinkWednesday net via that but like you said it’s very cludgy. I started with my #FT3 and then got the responses back via my iPhone and just finished the check in that way. I would like to try it over VARA APRS on 40 meters but I’m pretty new to that world and some get a bit upset if you do things out of the norm over there.

@bud_t I missed #WinlinkWednesday a couple of weeks ago because I somehow fat-fingered the address when pasting it from the previous week. Didn't see the error message until the following day. Sad, but what can you do?

I believe #GLAWN is fine if you connect over telnet, but the Winlink Wednesday folks frown on it.

Unless I can find a VHF #Winlink gateway that I can hit from the Indianapolis airport tomorrow night (and if I have time), this will be the first #WinlinkWednesday and #GLAWN check-in that I've missed in a long, long time.
