  5. 🎩 Ah, the noble quest to save the world with artisanal WiFi dishes and recycled rocket heaters! 🌍🔧 Because who needs modern technology when you can cobble together a wind turbine out of your neighbor's trash? 🙄💡 Truly, this is the DIY utopia we’ve all been waiting for.

  9. This is interesting, for many reasons:

    1. Using wind to power the data center
    2. Placing it under water to make cooling easier
    3. Placing it away from public to get rid of noise pollution

But it doesn't make it "green", it still consumes shit load of electricity and generates obscene amount of heat that goes into warming up the ocean.

A computer game designed at a #University in #Exeter, SW #England that is strictly for the #birds (and beneficial to them, as it helped develop #windturbine blades that are safer for them)

    >“By using a touchscreen especially designed for birds, we can use games to explore their behavior and ecology by simulating real-world scenarios, without putting the birds at risk,” explained University of Exeter ecologist and study co-author George Hancock.
