For a while now we've been dreaming of building boats ( starting with a #proa ) from old discarded #windturbine blades. Unfortunately despite sending close to a hundred emails (companies, universities, foundations etc) we can't seem to reach anyone with access to them.

So maybe the power of social media and the #fediverse will do the trick 😊

Klimakiller Windrad? Wenn das stimmt, ist der Föhn in deinem Bad ein Kohlekraftwerk.

Windenergie hat einen CO₂-Rucksack aus der Produktion – wie jede Technik. Aber: Dieser ist schnell „abgearbeitet“. Eine moderne Windanlage gleicht ihre Emissionen je nach Standort bereits nach wenigen Monaten aus – und produziert dann jahrzehntelang nahezu emissionsfrei Strom.

Zum Vergleich: Ein Braunkohlekraftwerk „rechnet sich“ nie – es pustet für jede Kilowattstunde über 1000 g CO₂ in die Luft.

Fazit: Wer das Klima schützen will, kommt an Wind nicht vorbei. Auch in Sachsen.
