@martiAn you and @Jo_T both rec'd them so I picked up a starter kit. It didn't include a nice red, only a rose, but I had a different brand buried in a box and tried that (which I didn't like) but I'll be going back to the art store this evening to pick up a couple other colors. So far I love how they are working. #watercolor #watercolour #WindsorAndNewton

I recently learned that the first person to ask commission me to do a caricature of them had died in July. A great shame indeed. He asked me to depict him in a pub we both drank, with him standing at the bar, this was in 2020 before the UK's second lockdown and done mostly with photos and sketches. The end result has a lot of issues I wish I could resolve, but he liked it and framed it and that's the best you can hope for.
RIP

Sinead O'Connor (1966—2023).
Todo mundo ha compartido fotos de ella joven. Yo me quedo con su fase gordita. DEP
Everyone is sharing her younger pictures. I'll stick to her late, chubby phase. RIP

The Jain's Death and Rebirth in Water Colours
After reading "The Jain's Death", a comic suggested earlier today by @RussSharek, I wanted to paint two scenes from it.
Page 26, depicting a tiger hidden among jungle foliage at night, and page 45-g, showing some kind of a geothermal energy explosion or eruption, stood out the most to me. They also both had a limited hue palette, and were quite contrasting, which suited me well as I have been wanting to try a couple of fairly #monochromatic paintings in preparation for #huevember, after seeing @dona's huevember creation. So, I hope you will enjoy my #painting The Jain's Death and Rebirth in Water Colours.
