I'm putting off my #ADanceWithDragons re-read because I know that once I'm done with this book, I'll likely never have anything new in the main series to read again.

And I know I've read it before, but it was a long, long time ago and honestly I'm not sure I've got another 14 years in me.

When I started this #ASOIAF re-read in mid 2023 I held out hope that by the time I'd finished Dance, George would have delivered #WindsOfWinter, and I end it feeling like that is never going to happen.

Well, “Sean” (@flyingwalruss.bsky.social) spotted this on #GRRM weblog and thinks that GRRM may have finished “Winds of Winter” (I assume “book 1”).

I’m gonna say I’m half amused/curious to see how different the ending is from the clusterfuck that was the TV show, which was so bad that it pretty much destroyed the entire cultural impact that GOT had achieved.
