@danslerush Sad misuse of power. Now they are forced to use other tools. Might be a long-term benefit. I wish they would do that to my employer. We normally only stop using #windoze when forced. In any case it shows that anyone and everyone needs to have redundant #resilient #IT systems to prevent bullying and data loss.

Hey, she already has an Intel laptop, an Apple laptop, an Apple desktop, and an (old) iPad! I wanna play with microcontrollers, and the IDE's are Linux or Windoze based.

"So," says I, "I'll wipe it and set up Linux."

"No, you bloody won't," says she, "I dunno what's on there, and you ain't getting near it until I check!"

"Yes, dear," says I wisely. 48 years together, and I may have finally learned my place.

Do windoze "updates" ever end? I swear I've checked at least 3x since this afternoon and *each time* I've seen *another* blasted update to yet another thing - a new version of windoze 11, a new "security update", whatever. Why can't it just apt-get dist-upgrade and be done like the rest of the civilized world?
