Hey, have #Mac filemanager app devs discovered that the folder tree structure popularized in #WindowsExplorer and #Konqueror is actually fucking good and way more useful than a sidebar full of dumb individual "locations"? Asking for a friend.

M$ přiznal, že Explorer stojí za prd, tak jej urychlí tím, že jej bude přednadčítat do paměti, místo toho aby optimalizace kódu, asi je to už šílená slátanina.
No, FUJ.... přitom je bezplatná konkurence, která jej předčí.

@JoergA @sigmasternchen Yes, I know #TotalCommander (I even bought it and had to pay customs because you can't cancel the delivery of a physical disk despite downloading it 😬).

But sometimes two windows aren't enough and tabs make things much clearer. Sure, the TC also has bookmarks, but some things are quicker and easier with #WindowsExplorer, so I use both tools depending on the task.

Any Windows Power Users here?

Is there any FOSS #FileManager for Windows 10 that isn't super slow and unreliable, has double panels and tabs?

I've tried #Files, #Spacedrive and #DoubleCommander but each of them either can't do basic operations without crashing or requiring me to wait a few seconds.

I thought switching from HDD to M.2 SSD will help - I did not.

#WindowsExplorer sucks - no dual view, no tabs... But all other options fig. make me want to punch the screen.

Ugh, I wish it was easy to reorganise the #Windows10 #contextMenu...
I found tools to disable/enabled context menu items, and even one that could create a submenu with your own set of submenus, even with custom commands, but I haven't found one yet that allows you to *move* existing context menu items and especially extensions created by other applications, into your own set of submenus.
