So this has been very frustrating. Apparently there's a known #issue with the #NTFS #drivers on #Linux (Linux #Mint) which #cause your entire #computer to #lock-up and #freeze when you are #copying a lot of #files to/from an NTFS #volume.

And what am I doing? I'm trying to copy all my data OFF my old NTFS volumes so I can re-format them as ext3+luks.

This is going to kill me. I've got a LOT of data to copy and I'm literally having to ^Z the terminal window every few seconds and pause the operation so my computer won't lock up.

Because I'm serious y'all, say what you want about #Windows but #Windows11Pro never locked up and froze on me just because I was #copying some damn #files! 👿

Microsoft won't let you download an ISO if you use #Starlink (or a VPN) and I blew through my entire 5GB of data for the month in about 90 seconds attempting to download it on my phone over 5G. I need it to install Windows 11 Pro so I can decrypt some of my BitLocker removable drives.

Tonight I have been playing around with my #Beelink #S12Pro, a N100 machine. This is the first time I have touch a machine with said CPU and I have to admit I am fairly fond of the little guy.
Not only did it stand up to the tests I made on the #Windows11Pro that came with it, but also blazed through my test of it with #Debian as well!

It is amazing what a 4 core, 6W TDP CPU can do!

Turns out you can use #UniGetUI to uninstall #CoPilot, #Xbox, and all the other crap that #Microsoft shoves down your throat with a fresh install of #Windows11Pro #24H2. Just select what you want to uninstall and click the shield icon to uninstall with admin privileges!
