I think the last WinDirStat v1 release was around 2005-7? It remained my tool of choice for showing disk usage.

So after a #WinDirStat spelunking session, we found that #Alienware command center files were consuming a whole 13 gigs. It looks like it would just keep downloading installers for newer versions and never delete old ones. #GDMap is a graphical disk mapping utility.

GDMap allows you to open a directory and scan it, graphically displaying each file's size. Since mounted disks are regular directories on Linux this means it's trivial to scan disks to find large files.

GDMap allows you to color any file extension with a custom color, letting you easily see what your disk space is dedicated to.
