Fixed! Scarlett sucks again.

The break wasn't too far in, so I did unwind a few turns until I reached it and then attached a new copper wire there, as well as on the three other ends.

A few turns less makes little difference. Works again. I need to find some dust bags!

Wound the cable return spring up and cleaned the case. Ready for service. May not last forever as the aluminium windings are prone to failing, but maybe she'll earn a new motor by then.
