    World’s first semi-submersible floating #offshorewind farm, #WindFloatAtlantic, beats expectations in the face of extreme storms
    WindFloat Atlantic was robust in the face of #StormCiaran, which tore through #Europe at the end of October and beginning of November last year, thanks to a powerful jet stream that came in from the #Atlantic. The floating #windfarm weathered wave heights of 20 meters (66 feet) and wind gusts up to 139 km/hr (86 mph).

    In addition to visiting the innovative #WindFloatAtlantic project, I met the leaders of EDP, to discuss their ambitious plans.

    @EdpRenewables aims at increasing renewable capacity by 18 GW by 2026. Interesting to see these plans come to fruition both globally but also in the EU.
