Hab' soeben einen Satz ordentlicher Diskettenabbilder, sowie schöne 300dpi Scans von Microsoft Word 2.0b für euch ins Internet Archive hochgeladen. Es handelt sich insgesamt um neun originale 5,25 Zoll Disketten im 1200K HD-Format. Das Programm stammt aus dem Jahr 1993 und sollte mit Windows ab Version 3.0 funktionieren. Damit hab ich damals noch meine Hausaufgaben gemacht.

Today I'd like to use my old 486 PC for something other than playing classical #msdos games.

Any suggestion of what cool stuff I could do online with it?

Netscape Navigator 3 is up and running so I can surf the web using theoldnet.com.
What else? IRC? BBS? For those I lack good addresses.

in the late 90s and early 2000s i was in an #oldwarez group called ATLANTiS. we released long forgotten #DOS (and later, #win3.1 & #win95) abandonware. most of it ended up on usenet, in alt.binaries.warez.ibm-pc.old.

here are three of our ascii nfo files supplied at three distinct periods of our tiny group's history. as the group aged, the ascii art improved, and the member list shrivelled to just myself.
