#Writers, what's with the hate for willow trees? Why are they seen as evil and the harbingers of abject horror?
We had willows when I was growing up. I have only good memories of one in particular. It was massive and provided great relief from the hot Summer sun. It was also great for climbing, which as every kid knows is the reason that trees were invented in the first place.
I'm truly curious.
This may or may not be a spoiler for the book I just boosted.

It’s too cold to plant but there’s lots of cleanup and prep to start with. I see the buds swelling on the lilacs, barely. Garlic is emerging from #winter #mulch. The promise of #green is at the edges of the #OkanoganHighlands. I’m eating #leeks from last year’s #garden, which encourages the effort to grow again.
