Construction of Steeles Station requires excavation of a large underground station box underneath Yonge Street.
To maintain north-south connectivity, Yonge Street will be temporarily realigned onto a newly constructed diversion road west of its existing alignment.

@jarek @the5thColumnist @mayintoronto Willowdale has so many streets without sidewalk. Some of those street are even leading to a park!
And then in Don Valley North within Bayview Village neighborhood, found 2 instances of sidewalk stopping mid street. Can only imagine residents refusing them. How can they be allowed to refuse I don’t know.

Well after almost no debate at Toronto City Council, they quickly decided that two stroke engine that pollute like insane should be kept. Even thought many other cities banned it, and we have electric alternatives available.. TODAY
And yet our councillor Lily Cheng keeps talking of her great "environment committee" she is sponsoring. Yet every single vote she votes is against the environment

J’ai aussi vu un petit symbole bleu qui indiquait qu’ils pouvaient me parler en français. J’ai donc dit bonjour.
J’étais le premier de la journée à exercer son droit de vote en français apparemment. Le travailleur d’élection était très content de me jaser ça.
Donc oui, on peut voter en français à Toronto aussi.

If you are curious about the project, the Doris Avenue rebuild (or extension) would provide a better way for #Avondale residents to exit the neighborhood
An indirect result and objective would make Doris the easier “car way” to go north south in that part of North York as to allow Yonge to have car lanes transformed to bike lanes and larger sidewalks.

Useless Conservative MPP of #Willowdale is announcing an environment assessment and traffic study to see what could be done about traffic on the 401 / Yonge interchange.

2025 Preliminary Budget does confirm the return of full service to Line 4 Sheppard, it had been cut a couple years ago.

-Security at Finch station
-Accessibility at Finch station
-Lack of east-west route in the ward between Sheppard and Finch
-Wifi
-spacing and reliability of buses on Yonge street
-Senior fare
-2h transfer limit when using Wheels-Trans -
My question was if they planned to bring extra service back on #Sheppard subway Line 4 (was cut last year from 5min to 7min headway).
Answer is yes, it’s in the plan, still need to be approved, etc but at least they are aware of it. Their goal is to have less than 6min headway on all subways across the city. -
Finally we got the notice of construction for those bike lanes on #Sheppard Avenue.
Was supposed to be end of 2023 and instead starting next month.
