Rewatched The #WildRobot with the kiddos this weekend. I am sure it's just that being a parent has softened my heart in a very particular way, but I do love that film. It doesn't hurt that it really executes on the visual style and has a brutal streak to its humour.

I am listening to #WTFPod and in the intro Marc Maron was gushing about his guest Lupita Nyong'o. It was so glowing that I began to think of the Icelandic saying "overpraising is the same as mockery" (oflof er háð).

Then the interview started and I understood that Marc was simply describing her fairly. She is awesome.

#wildrobot is 8/10. The plot was a little shallow but the drawing style, animation, action scenes, humor were top notch. My 2 boys enjoyed a lot. So did i.

I just watched #wildrobot at the cinema, and it was a real blast. Loved it - tears and laughs, just like I want it! 😍😭
