Has anyone watched the final #WildIsles on #BBC #iPlayer (the one that was banned from being broadcast)?
Aside from an implied critique of #monoculture #agriculture I really can't see why it could have been seen to be controversial.
What did I miss? Certainly wasn't as hard-hitting on #climatechange as I have seen other programmes to be....

After watching the penultimate* episode of #DavidAttenbotough's #WildIsles on the devil's lightbox yesterday, I recalled that as a wee lad in Aotearoa, I dreamt often of #SeaHorses. Why, I don't know, but these beautiful creatures featured prominently in my nocturnal fantasies.

A little walk through RSPB Rainham Marshes - lots of birds of course, and also a lot of other wildlife. Larinioides cornutus, one of many many Pisaura mirabilis, marsh frogs (gotta love the name!) were also out in full force and voice. Didn’t get any very good bird shots (not got the lens for that), but did manage to catch this female chaffinch lurking in the bushes #NaturePhotography #WildIsles #Wildlife #MacroPhotography

Aargh 😠! Yet again, a wildlife programme has ended up mirror imaging a snail shell 🐌, this time the flagship Attenborough/ BBC production "Wild Isles". A bee enters a dextral Cepaea hortensis shell and emerges from a sinistral. If authenticity is important then why does this keep happening in nearly every wildlife programme that I watch? #wildisles #bbc #attenborough

#wildisles was brilliant again, fantastic camera work from all, especially the starlings on Bodmin Moor with the thermal imaging camera at night. I love the snippet at the end of how they film certain things, we take it so much for granted but the work involved is incredible. Really enjoying this series.
