I saw my first whales of the season yesterday, a lone mother and calf. Pretty sure these are Southern Rights, which are much less common around here than Humpbacks.
They were fairly close to shore, but as usual, my phone camera did a lousy job at this distance.

Die spektakuläre #WildCoast am #EasternCape war dieses Mal wirklich wild. Das hier sind die letzten Bilder (aufgenommen am Donnerstagvormittag) vor einem Unwetter mit massivem „disruptive Rainfall“ bis in die Nacht hinein. In der ganzen Region gab es Erdrutsche und extreme Sturzfluten. Eine schlaflose Nacht für uns, aber ein Desaster für viele in den Dörfern und Städten an der Ostküste, die ihr Hab und Gut verloren haben 💔
