Received an email to connect Wikiloc to their #ChatGPT app in 3 easy steps.
I did just one step (deleted the account).

Is there any good outdoor app (for hiking etc) left?

Hace unas semanas por fin pude mergear Trails Hito en #fdroid 🎉. Es un visor de rutas de #senderismo que permite cargar archivos GPX, TCX y KML. No es un repositorio de rutas, yo la uso en conjunto con wikiloc, compartiendo desde allí las rutas.

Consume poca batería, puede actualizar tu ubicación bajo demanda o de manera continua si se le indica.

Está completamente desacoplada de Google Play Services, la ubicación puede tardar un poco más, ya que depende enteramente del GPS, pero te aseguras de que ninguna información sale de tu dispositivo y en ningún momento se asocia a tu usuario. Totalmente orientada a la privacidad. Usa #osmdroid junto a OpenTopoMap como alternativa libre a #googlemaps

@jon Started off for recording hiking trails but has since expanded. Works quite well and it's been in business for 19 years. A year subscription to store your own trails is like EUR 10. It's been very useful to me for the past few years.

Seems like I was able to plan my very first hike entirely through WikiLoc (and a paper map of course, never without one)

Should I not come back this Sunday, know that I went down fighting and cursing WikiLoc. Hard, really hard.

Last Sunday I was in the mood for a solo hike and so I went all the way up to Corno alle Scale (Italy)

The trail starts at Le Polle and moves to:
- lake Scaffaiolo
- Croce Arcana's pass
- Riva's pass
and loops back to Le Polle
