Oof. I just discovered that the #JeanRhys (#WideSargassoSea etc.) house in Dominica 🇩🇲 was demolished in 2020 -- only a year after we saw it while visiting the island on my spouse's research trip to the national archives.
Must admit that this is a bit of a gut punch for so many reasons.
