I watched Wicked 2 last night. Very highly recommended. Gripping throughout, with really beautiful cinematography, especially the cheerful bright colours of Munchkinland.
And both Ariana Grande and Cynthia Erivo have amazingly beautiful voices.
Also surprisingly topical.

Hate the way that the major media companies -- like Amazon, #Apple, #Netflix are others -- are trying to kill DVDs & to monopolize & control film media thru PPV streaming. ☹️

Mhm ich hab neulich Wicked 2 im Kino geschaut. Während die Welt und die Kostüme wieder wirklich schön waren, wirkte das ganze doch irgendwie zusammengeschustert.
Sehr viele Sprünge und irgendwie eine schwer verfolgbare Handlung.
Es fehlten auch so richtige Ohrwürmer, wovon es im ersten Film einfach 2-3 gab.
Ein bisschen schade für zwei Filme, die auf einem Musical basieren, was ja selbst nur so lang ist wie einer der Filme alleine.

Just happen to be watching the original #WizardOfOz (Judy Garland, 1939) which currently is being broadcast on the #AMC channel on #Comcast.
Have watched it many times before & have it on #DVD.
Nice to see it again after watching #Wicked2 at the theater recently to see the contrast in the 2 films.

Just watched #Wicked2 & #Sisu2 at my local #AMC these past 2 days.
Taking a day off to just loaf around the house. Woke up at 7 & still haven't gotten out of bed yet at 11. 🤗
Only 2 more movies out of the current crop that I want to see -- #NowYouSeeMe3 & #Nuremburg.
Planning on making a day of it to watch both of them tomorrow with a break for lunch.
Only possible because I'm retired. 😉

I watched #Wicked2 at my local #AMC yesterday.
Apparently, the movie is designed to follow the musical (rather than the original movie). I've seen Wicked (the musical) on stage but it was a very long time ago & I've forgotten most of what I saw.
Most people have not seen the theatrical version of Wicked, they've only seen the original movie & they probably will be as confused as I was by what they saw in Wicked2 as I was.
So, what I liked least about Wicked2 were the superficial & confusing tie-in to the original; none of which I'll reveal here for fear of "spoiling" the movie for those who haven't seen it yet but the differences are obvious to anyone who has seen the original.
I also thought that Elphaba was depicted as too naive & inept in attempting to expose the Wizard & save the animals, which were here primary objectives.
And lastly there were too many transitions that were never adequately explained or developed.
So, I'd only rate Wicked2 a 5 out of 10. 🤷♂️

Just re-watched #Sisu in advance of #Sisu2 due to be released on 11/21, the same day that #Wicked2 is due to be released too.
Sisu is a crazy movie about a Finnish war hero who gives up fighting the war vs the Nazis in order to become a gold miner, who strikes it rich but then loses his gold haul to a platoon of Nazis & then recovers it.
There a lot of unplausible & totally unbelievable bloody scenes in the movie, the point of which is that the main character will never give up, but it is wholly entertaining just the same.
I hope that Sisu2 is just as good.
