@ai6yr @user47 And idiot me found a sapling growing in the garden, dug it up, planted it thinking how big could it possibly get. Within 8 years it was taller than my 3-story house. Turns out it's a cottonwood hybrid. If I'd known it was going to grow that big, I certainly would not have planted it where I did. My entire garden is in shade every afternoon. 🙄 #WhoKnew?

#WhoKnew there were areas of the #USA where you could #ownProperty and even #HaveACabin or #HaveAHome but be #Landlocked out of it later by #BLM or other #governmentagencies?

#ProtectingTheEnvironment and #salmonFisheries/#SalmonSpawningAreas is very important,and clearly a lot of work and some money would be required to either #RestoreTheTrail they used to use or #ClearANewTrail, but these folks need to be able to #accessProperty they own and used to be able to use. The #FederalBureaucracy effectively using #EminentDomain doesn't seem fair in these cases.

#WhoKnew - not that #dogs, #sledDogs, helped to #explore #Antarctica. That's not really a surprise. But that they were #bred down there for many years - and then #culled #killed, not #retired and #caredFor as they deserved - when their use was deemed over 😡.

Yes, cute profiles. Hope the cards all get digitized if they haven't been yet. These dogs deserve a #searchableDatabase. And were samples taken from any of them for #DNAtesting later when it was available? Would be fun to see where, if anywhere, their #descendants ended up. #dogDNA #dogGenealogy
