I passed on the CD to his oldest daughter when I returned home last month

Bloke in bedroom makes record, sends it to Mark Radcliffe, suddenly finds he's got a huge hit.
And he used his platform to make queer, anticapitalist, and Trotskyist tunes. Beat that, Bono!
Jyoti didn't like being famous, to the extent he pulled "Your woman" from American radio so it wouldn't be a hit.
He still avoids the spotlight, so this interview from 2021 is quite rare.
