Last wednesday I posted my favorite version of my multiple sessions from this location, and today here's my second favorite.

From my last post about this spot:
I've visited a lot of waterfalls in my time as a photographer, and while my technique has evolved with experience and time, this image from 2007 has remained one of my favorites. I've gone back to this location multiple times to photograph this exact image, but this one always wins out.

Getting to this position in the creek is not for the faint of heart-- I usually put my camera strap in my teeth to hold it above the water as my feet slip over mossy, slick rocks until I get to a boulder further downstream. When I'm done taking exposures I am typically soaked head to toe.
Worth it. Every single time.

Long day & so it’s a glass of red wine & I’m #NowSpinning #JacksonvilleCityNights by #RyanAdams & the Cardinals.

Peak Adams invariably involves some version of the original Cardinals & this is just a superb album with a vibe which harkens back to his #Whiskeytown days. And, imo, #DearJohn is likely his best song &, thanks to a perfect Norah Jones vocal, his best recorded performance.

Oh, & this pressing is sublime.
