#WhenThePhoneRings devient le summum du rocambolesque aux derniers épisodes.
Je suis ravie que #LaMaisonDeLARueEnPente te captive. Pour moi c'était un sans faute!

May 22: #seoul to #YEG
My last day in Seoul. I had an evening flight and arrived home the same day, flying against time. I wanted to visit the Blue House, home of the Korean president. I faithfully followed my Naver directions and wound up at this apartment building in hilly Mapo. Decided to return to my guesthouse and area. I ate Japanese at a location from #WhenThePhoneRings
I left early for Incheon and slept solidly for most of my flight then again at home. Good to be back. -

*** When the Phone Rings ***
(2024 - Netflix 12 1:08 eps)[!!CW!! Synopsis & non-spoilery review.]
The presidential spokesperson's dad is running for president & so his life is orchestrated for him. His arranged marriage encountered a hiccup & he married a mute sign language interpreter. They were just 2 people living together on their own -- until his wife was kidnapped.
A makjang with some profound writing, & very suspenseful! However, you must assume the FL is bouncy or some things aren't believable. Talented actors playing interesting characters with growth, amazing chemistry, cute 2nd couple, bromance & womance make a binge-worthy watch.
Communication is a central theme in this story. The questions of how you speak your mind, when you speak your mind, & who has the right to tell you whether you are allowed to speak or not apply to several characters.

Netflix changed the subs, so the KDrama community backlash changed things 😮 Old: "The Paltima airstrikes are taking place in Izmael." New: "The ongoing attack on Paltima is taking place in Izmael" #KDrama #WhenThePhoneRings

Last night I finished When the Phone Rings. I loved most of it but found the last episode a bit strange. I’m glad it ended the way it did too #KDrama #WhenThePhoneRings

I finished #WhenThePhoneRings yesterday and it's probably the worst last episode in #kdrama history. A well deserved WTF 😶🌫️😄
Currently watching:
1️⃣ #Namib
It's so hard to wait for new episodes! It's the story of a k-pop producer who gets fired without severance pay and an 18 yo trainee whose contract gets revoked.
2️⃣ #RentedInFinland
A #kshow with Cha Eun-woo (True Beauty, Astro), Kwak Dong-hyeon (Queen Of Tears), Lee Dong-hwi (Reply 1988) and Lee Jee-hon (producer).1/2

That last episode of #WhenThePhoneRings was completely ridiculous - but going through the hashtag over on Bluesky and seeing everybody's "Whut???" is hilarious. :blobcatgiggle:

CW: When The Phone Rings ep 12
I don' t know how to say this in a nicer way. What a bullshit episode!
They made out a country, Argan, so is that supposed to be the Moroccan region where the Argan oil comes from? However there' s a jungle and a tropical beach. Of course she can go there even if there' s a war, she' s taken hostage and she gets rescued by her husband.
A husband still showing abusive-like traits, though he is not.Just end it at ep 11, blimey!

CW: Spoilers When The Phone Rings
@umienne I caught up with the episodes too. The Ubermensch take on the ML bothers me and I don't think there's enough to fill two episodes at this point.
However I really like the FL character.
Let's see how it ends. -
I'm anxiously awaiting the last 2 episodes & dreading it being over - so good!
I started a Chae Soo Bin quest because of it & will probably add a Yoo Yeon Seok quest too.
I believe they won the best couple award at the MBC drama awards & the drama isn't even finished.

Watching ep3 of #WhenThePhoneRings and I don't like at all this obsessive and control freak ML character.

#Day18: Your most-watched genre in 2024
Well, romcom/romance is overwhelmingly what K-drama churns out so that's my most consistent watch. Some romances are definitely FAR better than others!
I watched a lot of historicals early in the year but overdid it with 3-4 that I watched at the same time!
Some of the shows I enjoyed the most this year were action/suspense/thriller. They are so captivating to watch when done well!
#WhenThePhoneRings: my current favourite -
I've started watching When the Phone Rings. It's really good so far! #KDrama #WhenThePhoneRings
