https://youtu.be/MfipEXSvtjg?si=ofl7b-ZxGkpgz7AwI don't care for the MV, and am reminded of an African American student recently telling me how much she resented Kpop for what she thought of as its muscling in on Black culture.
I don't necessarily endorse her complaint, but her very voicing of it shows something of the rootedness of racial divides in US society and how, contrary to the explicit agenda of the US right and the sub rosa murmurings of some US liberals, the race "issue" is not going to "go away".
