C'est sûrement un des antagonistes que j'ai trouvé le plus intéressant à écrire.

À l'origine je voulais partir sur la maison Finch mais en y réfléchissant et en repartant du titre du jeu, j'ai pu voir un autre angle. D'ailleurs, en cherchant à posteriori, je ne suis pas le seul à développer cette théorie et c'est toujours cool de voir comment certains en ont parlé. La version vidéo avec un peu plus de contenus arrivera dans l'été si tout va bien.

Tried the demo of Slay the Princess and was instantly sold. Next time I have a spare couple bucks I'm picking it up! 🗡️

Meanwhile, I've wanted to grab What Remains of Edith Finch for years, but since having kids it's gotten harder to deal with depictions (fiction or non) of kids getting hurt, which I'm given to understand is a major theme in that game. 🫤

I started and completed #WhatRemainsOfEdithFinch on my #NintendoSwitch today and it was an incredible experience, some hiccups on the hardware but it was a beautiful journey that I beat in one sitting, I recommend going blind.

I'm not quite sure what kind of game What Remains of Edith Finch is. I think it's an exploration game?

What I do know is that it hooked me pretty quickly; the story was fascinating from the get-go.

I've slowly worked my way through the story to the point I feel like I'm on the verge of something, and it's a game I'm going to need to come back to when I'm not utterly exhausted.

What Remains of Edith Finch has grabbed me in that short time, and I'm rating it:

Finished my second play-through of #WhatRemainsOfEdithFinch and I’m sure it won’t be my last. In 3-4 hours it puts so many impressive scenes and circumstances. A few weeks ago, I was reminded of on scene, but couldn’t tell from what game it was until I realised today, I was from this. :D

Vor allem aber zeichnet sie sich nicht als gute Geschichte eines Spiel aus. #Games können durch ihre Systeme und Mechaniken erzählen.

Wenn wir Geschichten aus Spielen loben wollen, sollten wir bei Games wie #WhatRemainsofEdithFinch und #Undertale anfangen, die konventionelles Erzählen durch systemisches und spielerisches ersetzen/ergänzen.

Replaying "What Remains of Edith Finch", the PS5 version has different trophies 🏆 from the PS4 one. As both are offered in PS+premium, I grabbed the game and am playing it again. It looks really good on PS5 (4K resolution).
