Under my "One Mississippi" rule idea for defining a catch, that would have still been an incompletion instead of an interception. And I'm OK with that.

"In the NFL, a catch is defined as a player having control of the ball in his possession and making a football move, such as taking an additional step or reaching the ball out to the goal line, while maintaining control of the ball long enough to establish himself as a runner. This definition can sometimes be subjective and open to interpretation, leading to disputes over whether a play should be ruled a catch or not. The NFL's rulebook provides further clarification on what constitutes a catch, including criteria such as the receiver having control of the ball, both feet down or another body part (e.g. knee) down, and maintaining control of the ball through contact with the ground." -
For the record, the guy who ostensibly didn't catch the ball before fumbling it for a TD had control far longer than Dallas Goedert on that sideline catch.
