My mild suspicion is that the Lodge of Leisure is an opium den.

A nursing home had a dead resident leaving on a gurney through the reception area.

I enquired further.
"They leave by the same way that they entered" was the reply.

The nursing home continued with the classification of "person" even after death.
You can continue as a person after you die.
