@geekygoodies Our games from last week were replays of my shelf, these were played previously two years ago. Red Rising went to my trade-pile, others stay in my collection. #BoardGames #WhatdidYouPlayMondays

Yesterday was #gameday! I didn't get many pictures, but that's OK. I haven't posted about this stuff much lately, and I'm trying to get back in the habit. So, there'll be some hiccups till I get going again. Also, my therapist told me to be nicer to myself. I'm trying not to beat myself up too badly for forgetting.
We started the day out with #Betrayal. Always a good time. There was a ghost. J. did his best, but violence solved all problems for us.
I finally got to play #Ra. It's a game I've known about since I started playing modern board games all those years ago. It was a blast! I need that super fancy edition our friend brought.
The we played some #Tacta. Fun little domino-like card game.
After a break, we played #Guillotine. It's a favorite with this group. Always good for a laugh or two. And it's a pretty solid little card game.
We finished the night off with #Babylon. This was a tricky one. Thinking in 3d was tough for me. All the light bulb moments came from watching A. He sort of stumbled into an amazing structure, but I think he also just understood how to do it. I need another crack at this one.

The last game I got in this weekend was a learning game of #BlackRoseWars Duel: Lex!
While I love the franchise-hopping Unmatched, I’ve wished that it offered a bit more strategy/complexity. BRW Duel scratches that itch with its spell programming, deck-building (minimal in Duel), events, quests, room variability, and scoring. I know full BRW expands this further, but I feel like the Duel format stretched to work with 4 players would work well.

Our game night host finally got to introduce us to #GalacticCruise this last weekend! It’s one of those games with a ton of iconography, but we picked it up pretty quickly. As far as worker placements go, it was really solid.

This one sat in the backlog for a while, and I’m really happy we finally got it to the table. Everdell is a beautifully illustrated, multi-award-winning game with a unique blend of worker placement and tableau-building mechanics. Designed by James A. Wilson and published by Starling Games, it offers a satisfying seasonal rhythm and a charming world full of critters and constructions.

Had a great day playing board games!
We started the day with our final game of Ticket to Ride Legacy. It was fun! My wife and I ended up tying for third/fourth of five. It was a good time. The game had it's issues, but overall, it was entertaining.
We also played another game of Harmonies. We've been a bit obsessed with this little gem. It's a head scratcher, and we're constantly groaning about our hasty tile placements. It's great!
We finished the night with Fromage. It took some work to learn it, but once we got playing, it just flew by. It was so much fun! And the simple little time keeping mechanic was pretty clever. This one is great and I can't wait to play it again!

We went old school with our boardgames this weekend while staying at a B&B. Lots of books and VHS here, but not many games. We found a box of Pick-up Sticks. That is a game that has only existed in the mythical past to me, but turns out it's real! We gave it a whirl. Probably would've been easier on carpet than on a smooth table.
We also played Battleship using just pens and paper.
Then I remembered I'd packed #Herbaceous, so we played that the next day.
