i think this is one of those rare stories that is both about magic, and has a magical quality. the last time we saw that happen was in 2005, when the lion, the witch and the wardrobe came out. (still the best screen adaptation of a book weve ever seen) both stories have plenty of conventions, but theyre executed in a way that doesnt feel bone-tired

Was doing a quick re-read of #WHA (time flies) and I was struck by King Deanreldy. He seems to have good intentions, but considering all of Shirahama’s foreshadowing, I’m pretty sure he’ll be another upcoming antagonist. This could end in one of 2 ways:

With the US not attending the world health assembly, I imagine it's like if Dad finally carries through on his threats to leave thanksgiving and storms out of the house. After the initial shock, everyone actually has a calmer time than they would if he was there.
