Throwback Thursday – 2024 Fishers High School Winter Guard – The Great American Game
In honor of the start of the 2026 Major League Baseball season, I'm throwing it back to the 2024 Winter Guard International World Championships and Fishers High School's performance of The Great American Game. The show was inspired by A League Of Their Own, as you can tell from the costuming, as well as from the music heard as the guard set up for their performance. -

Throwback Thursday – April 3, 2025
This week’s throwback is to last Saturday’s Ohio Indoor Performance Association color guard championships and the Worthington Kilbourne High School Winter Guard’s performance of “Never Worn White”. They performed at WGI Class A Prelims today, earning a score of 80.510.

Slight change to my 2024 indoor schedule. As of earlier this week, I am coming to Dayton for WGI Winds Championships!
Unlike my other indoor events this season, I will be writing the recap of the winds performing groups for the WGI website. I’ll be at Wright State University’s Nutter Center on Saturday for Prelims and the University of Dayton Arena on Sunday for Finals. I’ll also have time after Prelims. If you’ll be in Dayton for WGI (or for anything, for that matter), stop by to see me during the Winds events or let me know where we can meet on Saturday night.

I discovered this performance through Adam Tan’s YouTube channel during one of his Let’s Watch features. I agree with Adam, as he continually exclaimed “This is a high school?!?” throughout his reaction to the video. It is AMAZING what WGI and high school music ensemble performers accomplish, and this performance by the Fishers High School Percussion Concert World ensemble is just one example.
